How to use sector comparison
- Rotate, don't pick. Sector comparison answers "where should my next ₦1m of NGX equity exposure go?" — at the asset-allocation step, before stock-picking.
- Tier distribution beats averages. A sector with 30% Conviction Buy names but a low average composite is more interesting than a sector with a high average but no CBs — the average hides the opportunity concentration.
- Read the dividend coverage row. Banking and Cement carry most of NGX's dividend yield. If you're building income, look at "% paying", "median yield", and "# aristocrats" together — not just yield.
